|Description||Theme issue: "Decay." Autumn and winter evoke slowness—the shuttering of windows, the drowsy descent into hibernation, our own personal introspection as the seasons filled with life come to their end. We celebrate this marked difference in eerie late October through our trudging to the solstice at the end of December. In a sense, decay guides us through this darkness. Decay is a natural and necessary process for the continued cycle of life, but it can also be jarringly unpleasant to experience or witness. For this issue, we are seeking submissions that explore the contradictions and strange revelations hidden in the many forms decay takes in our world. We accept one fiction or nonfiction piece per writer per submission period of 5000 words or less or up to five poems per submission period per writer.|
